Working Principle
The transmitter generates a pulsed magnetic feld by emitting a pulsed current along the waveguide. When this magnetic feld intersects with the magnetic feld generated by a moving magnet near the waveguide, a strain puise (or wave.guide distortion) is produced due to the magnetostrictive effect. The strain pulse travels back along the waveguide andis received by the circuitry. By calculating the time difference between the emitted pulse and the echo signal through thecircuitry, the position of the moving magnet can be accurately fed back, This process is continuous, so whenever themoving magnet is moved, its new position can be quickly detected.
